Ingredients for homemade popcorn:

  • Popcorn (corn kernels) 1/2 cup (100 g)
  • Oil / Clarified butter 1 tablespoon (10 g)
  • Salt optionally

Preparation of homemade popcorn:

Step 1: In a pot or large pan, heat the oil/butter over medium heat. Throw in a few corn kernels, and when they start to pop, add the rest and cover with a lid. Gently shake it from time to time to spread the oil evenly and prevent burning.

Step 2: As soon as the popping subsides, remove it from the heat and pour it into a large bowl. Optionally sprinkle with salt and mix.
