Mon Chou is a delightful cream cheese from the Netherlands. This cheese can be used to prepare dishes in various flavors, but it gained popularity thanks to the delicious Mon Chou tart. Unfortunately, it is not available for purchase in Poland.
A while ago, I remembered this delicious cake that my mother used to prepare whenever she had the necessary ingredients. I tried making a mini version with „similar” ingredients, and although it tastes slightly different from the original, I am very pleased with the result, both in terms of flavor and dietary benefits.
Natural skyr yogurt is an excellent source of easily digestible protein and calcium. Additionally, it benefits the gut microbiome, thereby strengthening the immune system.

Ingredients for Mon Chou dessert:
- Digestive cookies 2 pieces (20 g)
- Natural skyr yogurt 1/2 container (75 g)
- Cream 18% 2 tablespoons (20 g)
- Low-sugar jam (e.g., strawberry, raspberry, rose, or other) 1 tablespoon (30 g)
- Butter 2 slices (20 g)
- Calorie-free sweetener, e.g., erythritol 3 tablespoons (30 g)
Preparation of Mon Chou dessert:
Step 1: Place the crushed biscuits in a blender container. Blend them into a fine powder.
Step 2: Melt the butter in a saucepan.
Step 3: Then, add the biscuit powder. Stir and mix thoroughly with a spoon until you get a uniform, crumbly mass.
Step 4: Transfer the crumb mixture to a glass or small jar, press it firmly, and smooth it out. Place in the refrigerator.
Step 5: In a bowl, combine the yogurt, cream, and sweetener. Stir and mix thoroughly with a spoon until you get a smooth, thick mass.
Step 6: Take out the dish with the base and evenly spread the yogurt layer on top. Smooth it out and put it back in the refrigerator.
Step 7: In a bowl, place the jam (e.g., strawberry, raspberry, rose, or other) and stir well to make it less firm.
Step 8: Take the dish with the dessert out and evenly spread the jam on top.
Step 9: You can eat the dessert right after preparing or after chilling. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
