Ingredients for pumpkin fries:
- Pumpkin 1/4 small piece (200 g)
- Olive oil or other oil 1 tablespoon (10 g)
- Smoked sweet paprika
- Hot paprika
- Turmeric
- Curry
- Salt
Preparation of pumpkin fries:
Step 1: Wash and dry the pumpkin. Cut a piece and remove the fibers and seeds. Peel off the skin (place the piece on a board and peel with a knife downwards).
Step 2: Then cut crosswise into two or three parts and cut into longitudinal slices, and then cut the slices into sticks.
Step 3: In a bowl, place olive oil and a pinch of each spice: smoked sweet paprika, hot paprika, turmeric, and curry (or use other favorite spices). Mix well. Put the pumpkin pieces into the bowl with the prepared marinade and coat them thoroughly. Each pumpkin stick should be covered with spiced oil.
Step 4: Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Evenly distribute the pumpkin strips on the sheet, making sure they do not overlap. Put in the preheated oven and bake for 15-25 minutes, depending on the thickness of the sticks and the desired degree of baking. Watch carefully to prevent the fries from burning too much.
Step 5: Place on a plate and season with a pinch of salt.
