Ingredients for feta cheese with tomatoes:
- Feta cheese 1/2 package (100 g)
- Tomato 1 medium (180 g)
- Balsamic vinegar 1 tablespoon (6 g)
- Pepper
- Oregano / Dried basil
- Fresh herbs (e.g., parsley, basil, mint) optionally
Preparation of feta cheese with tomatoes:
Step 1: Wash, dry, and slice the tomato into fairly thick slices (remove the hard, green parts from the middle). Slice the cheese. Adjust the thickness so that there are as many cheese slices as tomato slices.
Step 2: In a small ovenproof dish, layer the tomatoes. Sprinkle evenly with a pinch of spices. Then layer the cheese and sprinkle with spices as well. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
Step 3: MICROWAVE: Place the dish in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes (depending on the microwave’s power). Remove when the tomato is soft and the cheese is slightly melted.
OVEN: Place the dish in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 20 minutes. Remove when the tomato is soft and the cheese is slightly melted.
Step 4: Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and optionally sprinkle with fresh herbs.
