Tomato cream soup with yogurt is a simple and healthy dish made with tomatoes.
Tomatoes are mainly known for their universal and unique taste and for containing lycopene. This organic chemical compound has antioxidant properties. It’s the strongest antioxidant among carotenoids. Heat processing does not reduce its amount – there are even more in processed tomatoes than in fresh ones. Processed lycopene is up to 4 times more absorbable than that from fresh tomatoes.
The fiber in tomatoes regulates the digestive system, while bromine positively affects the nervous system. Instead of fresh tomatoes, you can easily use canned tomatoes, especially when you can’t buy good-quality fresh tomatoes.
Natural skyr yogurt is an excellent source of easily digestible protein and calcium.
It also has a beneficial effect on the intestinal microbiome, thus strengthening the body’s immunity.
