Ingredients for rice with chicken and tomato sauce:
- Basmati rice 5 tablespoons (50 g)
- Chicken breast 1 small piece (150 g)
- Tomato sauce (passata) 1/2 cup (200 g)
- Olive oil 1 teaspoon (5 g)
- Oregano
- Salt
- Pepper
Preparation of basmati rice with chicken and tomato sauce:
Step 1: Cook the rice (check the recipe). While the rice is cooking, prepare the remaining ingredients.
Step 2: Place the olive oil, oregano, and pepper (about 1/3 to 1/2 teaspoon each) in a bowl and mix together. Clean the chicken breast and cut it into smaller pieces. Put the chicken pieces into the bowl with the prepared marinade and coat them thoroughly.
Step 3: Heat the pan. After a moment, add the meat. Fry for a while, stirring constantly.
Step 4: Once the meat loses its raw color, reduce the heat and add the tomato passata. Simmer until the sauce thickens and the meat is cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. If necessary, add a little water while simmering, but be careful not to use too much.
Step 5: Then add the rice and season with salt to taste. Mix thoroughly.
Step 6: Transfer to a plate.
