Ingredients for Halloween oat jaws:
- Oat flakes 2 tablespoons (20 g)
- Rye flour 1 tablespoon (10 g)
- Walnuts 1-2 pieces (5 g)
- Fresh or frozen strawberries 3/4 cup (100 g)
- Mini marshmallows 1 handful (10 g)
- Honey 1 teaspoon (10 g)
- Oil 1/2 teaspoon (2 g)
- Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon (2 g)
- Water
Preparation of Halloween oat jaws:
Step 1: Pour 0,5-1 cm of water into a pan and add the strawberries. Heat over medium heat. Stir and crush the strawberries occasionally with a wooden kitchen spatula. Meanwhile, prepare the remaining ingredients.
Step 2: Finely chop the nuts.
Step 3: Place the oats, nuts, flour, and baking powder in a bowl. Mix together.
Step 4: Add honey, oil, and a little water. Stir and mash until the ingredients are combined.
Step 5: Transfer the mixture onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper and form it into a neat, flat cookie. Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 10-15 minutes. Simmer the strawberries until they reach a puree consistency (about 10-15 minutes). If necessary, add a bit more water during cooking or increase the heat to evaporate any excess.
Step 6: Assemble the slightly cooled cookie, strawberry puree, and marshmallows into „blood-stained” jaws.
