Chicken broth is usually made from poultry, sometimes beef or lamb. It’s a clear, unthickened soup with a unique aroma and taste.
Chicken broth is a delicious and healthy meal that is extremely versatile. It can be eaten alone or with various additions like pasta (e.g., noodles or ribbons), rice, dumplings or potatoes.
Additionally, it can be used as a base for making many other soups like tomato soup, barley soup, vegetable soup, borscht, or dishes like pate, chicken stew, or chicken with vegetables in white sauce.
Chicken meat is a source of valuable protein, vitamins, and minerals. It is also easily digestible and contains little fat, making it very popular in standard diets for weight loss.

Ingredients for chicken broth:

  • Chicken breast 1 small fillet (150 g)
  • Carrots 2 medium pieces (90 g)
  • Parsley root 1 medium piece (80 g)
  • Celery root 1 piece (90 g)
  • Leek 1 piece (70 g)
  • Onion 1 small piece (50 g)
  • Parsley leaves 1 small bunch (10 g)
  • Salt

Step 1: Wash and dry all the vegetables. Peel the onion and cut it in half. Cut the leek in half. Peel the carrots, parsnip, and celery root and cut them into smaller pieces.

Step 2: Place all the vegetables and the cleaned meat in a medium-sized pot. Fill with cold water to cover the contents of the pot (a few centimeters above). Season to taste with salt. Cook for about 1 hour on low heat. After the indicated time, add fresh or dried parsley. Continue cooking for another 30 minutes. Then taste and re-season with salt to taste. Stir.
