  1. For cooking, choose potatoes of similar size. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and peel them thinly. After peeling, wash them again to remove any remaining dirt.

  2. In a pot, bring water to a boil at a ratio of 3:1 – water to potatoes (there should be enough water to ensure all potatoes are fully submerged). After a moment, add a pinch of salt (about ⅓-1/2 teaspoon). Carefully add the potatoes and cover the pot with a lid. Once boiling, reduce the heat so that the potatoes are simmering gently. Cook the potatoes for about 10-30 minutes (depending on the type and size of the potatoes – the older and larger the potatoes, the longer they require cooking). Near the end, check with a sharp knife to see if the potatoes are cooked. If the knife goes in smoothly, it's a sign to drain the potatoes.

  3. After cooking, drain the potatoes in a colander or remove them with tongs/a slotted spoon. After a moment, transfer them to a plate or mix with the other ingredients of the meal.
